About the Event
Local high school author Amy Zhao has met thousands of people over the years from all walks of life. She has collaborated with college graduates on various projects, hosted events and workshops with bookstores across the country, and spoken to crowds of several hundred people on her experiences and learnings.
At school, Amy is an executive officer for DECA, helping lead over two hundred students to competitive success at the international level. Additionally, she is a JEA winner, NHD state medalist, TSA state semi-finalist, and Science Olympiad state winner. Amy and her friends also tutor kids, inspiring them to chase after their dreams and helping kids achieve their goals.
During the event, Amy will share:
The Beginning: How she first started writing and connected with readers across the country
The Importance of Collaboration: How she created and launched her graphic novels on tight time frames with college graduates
3 Key Habits: How Amy balances schoolwork with extracurricular activities, and key habits she picked up that she believes every child should have
English Tutoring Learnings: What helps kids most
There will also be time for Q&A
This event is great for families and for kids between the ages of 6 and 12.
